However, perhaps it’s because of my unstructured nature that I haven’t really found my way to the classics and just plain really good adult books. I’ll try to steer myself away from all of the crappy teen fiction! Suggestions are much loved!
The Must Reads
- It’s Been A Good Life, by Isaac Asimov
- Lolita, by Vladimir Nabokov
- Mountains Beyond Mountains, by Tracy Kidder
The Must Finish
- Forest of the Pygmies, by Isabel Allende

The Rereads
- Bel Canto, by Ann Patchett
The Hope-To Get-To
- Tears of the Giraffe, by Alexander McCall Smith
- Forever in Blue: 4th Summer of the Sisterhood, by Ann Brashares

World According to Garp is a great book!
Right now just finished Snuff, by Chuck Palahniuk. Read all of his books! Now! They're all pretty fast reads, too.
Also, I recommend David Sedaris' new book, and Augusten Burroughs new book.
Those are all delicious summer books.
And of course, reread Harry Potter series, and Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe.
And if you're really slumming it and want something for the lulz, check out Stephenie Meyer's series (the new book comes out in August). We call here smeyer. If you end up reading those series, for more lulz, check out Twatlight on Oh No They Didn't, the livejournal.
Have fun!
